What is PLA?
PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable and compostable bioplastic made from fermented cornstarch, sugarcane, or sugar beets. Free from melamine, BPA, lead, phthalates, PVC, mercury, and latex, PLA is an excellent sustainable alternative to petroleum-based plastics.
